Title : pop -> pop culture/// emo -> emo culture???

I read an article about a guy who is trying to explain that emo is really a genre of music... and not a fashion guide...this is a little of what he had to say.."emo is a music genre... a mix of punk and hardcore.... its characterics are, it is played underground... with emotionally driven lyrics.... hard guitar riffs... and screaming vocals....if its mainstream its not emo... emo stands for emotive hardcore... or emotional hardcore... its not a person.. not a fashion statement... not a hair style... not a lifestyle.. u can be an emo listener but you'll nvr be emo....emo kids, emo boys, emo girls, mall emo = posers,skramz, scenesters, groupiesemo the sound of hardcore amplified by emotions"_____________________________________________this is what i commented to him..."i may not be emo.. but i know you are wrong about it...emo is a sub-genre of music.. yes i agree..but isn't pop a genre too???so what is pop culture??? huh??a non-existent thing???pop culture is like the most common thing..you see it in hollywood, london, paris.. especially tokyo!!!pop is a genre.. which influences a culture to the people to are in to it..just like emo music..it influences the people who listen to it..music is a very influencing thing..hiphop..-->> gangsta streetwearrnb.. -->> a little casual type of formal wearpop.. -->> happy-go-lucky..etc...people try to wear clothes that match their taste in music..some people who listens to a variety.. really wears whatever he/she is feeling like..you see.. emo is a genre(sub-genre actually) of music... but that's what makes it a culture...well.. peace..i feel like i just wrote an argumentative essay.."
