Time : 7:12 PM Title : xmas' eve, xmas and boxing day post. i will add pictures once i have uploaded them onto facebook.
i was out a lot during this festive season, so this is what happened the past 3 days. Xmas' Eve. I went out to do some UBER last minute xmas shopping. i went to tiong bahru plaza and plaza singapura. afterwards, i went home to my dad's apartment @ GWSA. that night my dad wanted to watch a movie. a late night movie. we watched "Australia" @ 11.10pm. the movie was really long! halfway through the movie, iwas thinking, wow, that was nice, i thought it was ending already! then it went on!! the movie ended @ about 2 am. lol..  Xmas for xmas all i got was an 8gb thumbdrive and a usb port..>.< LOL!! my sis got a 32gb ipod touch! wtf!!! for xmas dinner we reserved places @ a restaurant called One Rochester, its at rochester park. it started with a drink. Eggnog(sweetened dairy-based beverage with the addition of various liquors, such as brandy, rum, and whiskey.) or Rosé(AKA pink wine) i picked Eggnog, but i also tasted the Rosé which my sister chose. then i had to leave cause we forgot the crackers, lol. once i got back, we started the course. i ordered another drink, a cocktail, called "Cherry Blossom"a [eggnog + cherry blossom] the first course was a soup, Truffle white onion soup with pancetta bits [soup] then we were served 2 ginormous bowls of salad one was warm slad of duck confit with roasted kumquats & pumpkin seeds, the other was cured ham with peppered figs & rocket salad. [duck salad] [rocket salad] then came the Lamb! Oven baked lamb rump (2.5 kg), caramelized parsnips mashed with rosemary & shallot jus. [lamb] then the point of the whole dinner! Turkey!!!! Roasted whole turkey (4-6 kg), roasted vegetables & red currants sauce, [turkey] wow! awesome dinner,. sooo full.. lol but, there is still dessert! lol. there were 3 different desserts. rochester pudding with brandy sauce chocolate fudge brownies with homemade vanilla bean ice-cream cheese plate with fruit cake, water biscuit & onion chutney [pudding] [brownie + ice-cream] [cheese plate] [onion chutney] total price of dinner without the extra drinks & wine was S$480++(without GST & service charge.. >.< faints) my dad also ordered a bottle of wine, an Alpha Montes Chile White Wine. i tried it, and omg was it strong! lol. the strongest wine i've ever tasted. it was 14% alcohol. Boxing Day Today i woke up at noon. lol. was too dizzy last night, so i slept in.. >.< immediatly i left for alexandra roadwith my sister, to send her lappie for repair. came back @ about 3 30pm. we ate leftover turkey for lunch.(we didnt finish the turkey yesterday, so we brought back the leftover) later on, arthur wanted to watch a movie, he hadn't seen twilight. so he bought himself a ticket. he had time on his hands so i went shopping with him. i was going to GWC anyway, to buy the BoA album, the Face. he bought some shirts and i got myself yet another shirt.. hehe=PP then it was time for his movie. i left for home. then my dad, my sis and i walked to lucky plaza cause Maria wanted to buy a phone, the Xperia(X1). blah blah.. then we walked back home. and that's now.. hehe=PP until next time, signing off! Time : 7:23 PM Title : looking for xmas material i couldn't take any pics today!! no phone remember! and i 4got to bring my cam~!
Today me and my sis went out to buy some xmas decoration.(i know so late then buy! lol..) we went to plaza sing. first we went into carrefour, we couldn't find anything right. then we went into Daiso. it was sooo crowded.. not only inside daiso, but outside too. when we went in, we decided to go to the toilet first. but while we were going to the toilet near daiso, some camera crew blocked out way to it. they were filming a Chinese drama! how cool! i don't watch channel 8 dramas like i used to. i saw Joey Swee! she was actually also the first local celeb i have ever met. i met her about 3 years ago. in p6. i saw her with Genevieve and zonn. JOEY SWEEEEEEEE~!♥♥  zonn & gen   there were 2 other actresses, i forgot their names.. o.0.. >.< it was outside of Jean Yip. after that, we went to the toilet downstairs. then we went into daiso. we got our decoration. then we headed off. while reaching the main entrance of plaza sing. some dude suddenly came up to me. i was like. hmm.. i recognise that pink and black striped shirt he was wearing... it was GALEN! lol.. ahaha.. so we were like.. hey blah blah.. then i decided to go home. i wanted to walk home, but my sis wanted to take the bus. i always walk home from orchard. i dont know why. i enjoy doing it. while walking from plaza sing to home, i passed by a bunch of buskers outside ngee ann city(taka), there were sisters that contort, a lady that played a chinese instrument and a man playing the Didgeridoo. quite interesting to watch each of these performances. Time : 10:01 PM Title : Woke up late, watched Twilight I met up with Anna one day.. nice catching up with her again.
it was about 9 o'clock @ night at the time. we met in the middle of bukit ho swee.. ended at about past 10pm.. and here she is....  Today, i can't believe i woke up @ the time that i did.. it was the latest time i have EVER woken up. i am really the type of person that wakes up early, no matter when i sleep, okay.. so i did sleep @ past 4 in the morning.. but i woke up @ 3 in the AFTERNOON!! ahaha.. oh well.. anyway, after i woke up and saw that my brother, Arthur, ate my share of lunch that our maid had prepared for us. i got ready and left for chicken rice @ the chicken rice shop next to 7-11 here in bukit merah view. when i got back home, my sister, Alana, was there, apparently she had come back from her few days trip to Batam. We immediately left for a movie, Twilight. it was around 4pm by now. we booked the 6 40pm show. we went to eat at KFC's. we then just went around. we stumbled into comic's connection, but we just went through it and left. we went to the arcade soon after, we didn't want to use much money here, but still have fun. she topped-up 8 dollars into her card, and i topped-up 4. we had a motorcycle race together. i won! haha then we had a car race, she won this time, haha. after that we played the basketball thingy, the same kind as the one in shanghai in the arcade when i was there. she finished with 30 points, ahaha, and i finished with 107 points.. yay me, good considering it was my first try, lol. we decided to have some donuts after that, like we always do whenever we are in tiong bahru plaza. we ordered half a dozen of donuts, i picked, hazelnuts(my fave), mint dark chocolate(2nd fave!) and espresso mouse(wanted to try it), she picked, cookies&cream, rocky road(she always picks these 2) and something like double chocolate.. ... in the end we could not finish it so we made fun of the donuts, we do this ALL the time we are there, the staff must recognize us by now!! haha.. after that, we went to the 6th floor of tiong bahru plaza, just to sit.. bored.. listen to music etc... then we headed for the theatre and just waited till we could go in. Twilight was an awesome movie! my favourite character was Alice! i'll try to post a pic of her... Alice Cullen is the one most to the left..  i love kristen stewert, she was great! i fave movie of her was panic room, with jodie foster. catch that kid was also interesting. i also recognized her straight away from Jumper, even though she was uncredited.. i knew it was her!! lol.. ok.. signing off! xoxo rooke                To Ivan Lim, you invited me to your YCS camp, sorry that i can't join you in your camp, i was seriously considering. maybe i will in the March camp? maybe only ar.. haha.. i may not be free you know.. Time : 10:49 PM Title : Fattening up!! eeeeww~! lolzzz ok.. this is weird.. none of you would expect this from me.. cause i barely eat!! ahah..
but.. 3 days ago.. for dinner.. i had a 20 piece chicken nugget box.. all to MYSELF!! and the night after that!! i had a MEGA MAC MEAL!!!! am i trying to get fat AGAIN!? ahah.. but now i've eaten less than those outrageous amounts.. i have no idea what had gotten over me... hmm.. for the whole holidayzz.. i have been stuck @ home, except for the suzhou/shanghai trip. cause no one invited me out for anything.. but today, yustynn invited me for a movie.. we watched "the day the earth stood still" @ bugis. we planned to meet @ 5pm.. lolzz. but at 5 i had just started getting ready.. i showered, grabbed some clothes and a random bag... and left at 5 21pm.. >.< o(^-^)o... i took the cab.. the driver's name was Goh Ah Beng~!! ahaha... but when he saw me taking out a pen and paper.. he immediately covered his name with the thingy on the top of the hair which usually has a mirror.. anyway.. the cab ride was 10 bucks!!! cause of extra charges and ERP!!!! aiyo!!! even though i reached there in 10 minutes.. met yus @ mac's... then we headed str8 for the theatre.. it was a good movie.. after that.. i played the ipod touch he had with him.. then we left for the MRT...

Time : 10:50 PM Title : Late Shanghai Trip Post..>. Well, since i was bored, i thought i might as well post that post about the china trip that i haven't posted.(okay, screwed up sentence..)
pictures @ the end of the post.. ok.. let's see what i remember.. [DAY 1] (waaahh!! going to china!! exciting~!!!) hmm.. i never slept the night before.. i skipped dinner and couldn't sleep on an empty stomach. i reached the airport at about a quarter past 5 in the morning. We went to change the Singapore Dollars to Chinese Yuan. Then went to the departure place. The first familiar person I saw was Galen and Bernard and YongXun, i think.. my memory is a blurrrrrr... xD anyway, i tried avoiding contact o(^-^)o.. cause i was with my mum and brother and lil sis.. We arrived in Shanghai Pudong International Airport @ about 35 minutes past noon..? maybe.. hmm.. whatever.. We then took a chartered bus(chartered for the whole 9 nine days of the trip) to Suzhou. We stayed in the (i totally forgot the hotel's name~!! hahaha)... the 7 school immersion boys took their leave to their respective home stays. Didn't do anything for the first day.. except have dinner at a muslim restaurant i think.. can't remember right.. [/DAY 1] [DAY 2] (reads Galen's Blog to help bring memories.. heeheee=PP) We went to the Suzhou Industrial Park(SIP) today. it looked super nice.. not like an industrial park at all!! its soo surprising that companies rather choose cheaper prices than good quality industrial parks. that's the reason behind the SIP not making any money.. it was built by a Singapore Company btw... Then we went to the Tiger Hill. cool place man! a lot of history, (like many other parts of china..>.<), we did the activity as fast as we could, then.. lolzz we went to see what they were selling.. this lady saw us from her stall.. and she got up and said, "looker, looker!! 10 yuan!!"" repeatedly...ha ha.. we kept saying it.. we ran off onto a boat!! ahahah!! took a trip to the other side where we were supposed to meet up.. we reached there too early.. so we then took the horse carriage one round trip.. hahaa.. still too early after that.. we took the vehicle thingy.. lolzz all the way up to the pagoda.. then we walked down the steps and we reached the meeting point on time.. haha.. Then we went to the Silk factory... eew!! worms..!! haha.. we learned how silk was made.. awesome!! the 75%% silk merchandise was UBER soft!! it was amazing!! haiz.. fun.. but i still wish Gen could've been with me~!!! [/DAY 2] [DAY 3] (going to a school in china.. wow!) Today, we went to a school in china~! Zhenhua Suzhou School.. (affiliated with Suzhou No.10 School, one of the elite schools of Suzhou..) wow! its such a CULTURE SHOCK! they start of their mornings by exercising.. round the track.. EVERYONE!! they do it again in the afternoon!! we weren't part of the school immersion thingy, so the rest of us were put into a room to learn the HISTORY of Suzhou.. bore! it was in CHINESE.. how d'ya expect some of us to understand you! some of us slept.. ahaha...**coughs* Galen~! *coughs*** we left the place @ noon.. to Lion Forest.. it is such a maze in there!! awesome!! ahahazz... you are in the garden.. then suddenly in the building.. lolzz Then we went to a museum apparently(according to galen's blog.. but he skipped it cause it was boring).. i dont remember it.. must've been THAAT boring.. lols We had dinner on our own... i really can't remember why... but i joined Galen, Bernard, YongXun, Jeryl, JinYu and Andre's group for dinner.. and i'm really glad i did. i came to china to enjoy it.. not for ""BUSINESS"" thingy.. we had McDonald's.. pricing wasn't bad.. but KFC is bigger than Mac's in China. WAYYY WAYYY bigger!! and the macs had peach pie.?? err.. eew! we walked around.. and found an arcade.. the tokens are like UBER cheap their!! really!! everyone was like playing the basketball thingy.. galen and bernard tried the punching bag.. galen hit with a score of over 8k!! woah.. now.. need to prepare for the next day.. cause we are leaving for shanghai.. [/DAY 3] [DAY 4] (chinese are so good @ basketball.. >.<) today. everyone was like waiting for me on the bus.. i was late cause i got the timing wrong..>.<.. anyway.. today was the basketball match with the Zhenhua students.. MAN!!! they are GOOOOODD!!!! lolzz.. they PWNED our @$$es... i didn't play mind you.. lols, imagining, puny little me! playing basketball against another school..>.< We set off to Shanghai afterwards.. quite a long ride.. We when for dinner first.. before heading over to the hotel.. Dinner was at this middle eastern?? restaurant... Galen didn't join us.. he went with his uncle for dinner.. i sat with Bernard, YongXun, JinYu, Alex, someone else.. we had this meat.. Yong Xun said was smelly. ahahaha.. he called it.., " B. O. Beef!!!"" ahaha.. we stayed in the DAYS hotel.. it was SWWWEEEEETTTT.. there was a FLAT SCREEENNN!!! LOLS but now that we are in shanghai.. we have more serious activities to complete.. the whole point of the trip.. the enterprise shit.. [/DAY 4] [DAY 5] Business... equals.. BOREDOM!! lols We had a business briefing straight after breakfast.. We then went to the Raffles City in Shanghai for lunch.. it was soooo singaporean made.. wow! felt like home.. i was late to meet back once again.. oh my god.. i think i've become infamous on the trip for being late.. we then went to the urban planning place.. had an activity there.. boring.. somehow our group completed it, but i played no part.. lols... but EYEBROWS didnt complete and had to stay back to complete it, while the rest of us went off to buy our staionaries.. then we went to Nanjing Donglu..can't remember a thing.. ahaha.. when we went back i bought a calling card.. FINALLY CAN CALL GEN!! when i called her.. i SCREAMED SOO LOUDLY!! i had a minor soar throat later on.. heehee.. [/DAY 5] I really can't remember the rest.. but when i do have the energy and am not lazy, i will take out my journal to refresh my memory. ahaha.. then i'll post for the other days.. this is quite a long post already anyway... here are the pictures.... some of them..
